At last night’s (March 12th) Commonwealth Games Handover Ceremony, Squash Athlete, Meagan Best, received the Barbados flag from Governor General Dame Sandra Mason.
 
Meagan is The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. and National Sports Council – Barbados‘s Athlete of the Year. She is the National, Regional, US-Junior Gold Medallist and Canadian Junior Silver Medallist.
 
Truly deserving – she will proudly carry the Barbados flag at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia in April.
Meagan Best, the reigning Barbados, Caribbean and U.S. Junior (U17) Champion; B’dos U-19 Champion; B’dos Senior Ladies Champion (2016, 2017, 2018) and Caribbean Senior Ladies Champion (2016 & 2017) with the Barbados flag. She is flanked by Dame Sandra Mason, Q.C. the Governor General of Barbados (r) and Ms. Sandra Osborne Q.C. (l), the President of the Commonwealth Games Association of Barbados (and of the B’dos Olympic Association).
